Although WWE Studios has not made any box office smashes throughout the tenure of the company expansion to movies, it is still an endeavor that executives are willing to invest in. From the greatest success story of The Rock, to the ongoing series of Marine movies, the movie industry is a project that WWE can see profit in, and does not seem to be letting it go anytime soon.
Recently on Raw, The Miz ended his seventh reign as Intercontinental Champion in a loss to Roman Reigns. Following the show, Miz received a triple powerbomb from The Shield. We would later report that Miz lost the championship due to filming another installment of The Marine with Becky Lynch and Shawn Michaels.
It looks like Miz’s Hollywood stint may continue. According to CBS Miami, via PWInsider, there have been talks of starting a reality show with Miz and his wife Maryse. The show would be hosted by WWE, and it would document the lives of the Mizanins, having the spin-off feel of Total Divas and Total Bellas.
The report also states that WWE is planning on continuing to feature WWE talent in movies and projects in the future. WWE Studios is currently teaming of with The Rock’s Seven Bucks Productions to film Fighting for My Life, which journals the life of current Raw women’s star Paige.
